Urine collection bags are designed to collect urine drained from the bladder via a catheter or sheath. They may also be attached to some types of hand-held urinal to provide additional containment.
Wearable urine collection bags are also called "leg bags."
Most bags are made of plastic, and some have a fabric backing for comfort against the skin. The bag has a tube on the upper side that connects to the funnel end of the catheter or sheath. The bottom of the bag has a small tap or valve for emptying.
They can be worn discreetly under clothing and may not be noticeable. Usually they are fastened to the thigh or calf, but there are also bags that can be worn around the waist.
