Due to the small blood collection volume, the negative pressure inside the tube is relatively low, so the blood collection time is slightly longer. It is necessary to wait patiently until the blood stops flowing into the collection tube, then mix it 6-8 times to ensure full mixing of the anticoagulant and blood. Improper mixing may cause hemolysis, coagulation, or blood bubbles, which will affect the test results.
The 13x75 tube body ESR test tube is specially used for blood sample collection and anticoagulation when determining the erythrocyte sedimentation rate by the Westergren method.
