Solutions for blood clotting after blood collection

1. It is related to repeated puncture and too long time for blood collection. Successful venipuncture is a key technology for preventing blood clotting during blood collection. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the success rate of puncture on the basis of syringe blood collection. For newly appointed contract nurses, they must pay close attention to basic skills training and constantly improve the technique of venipuncture to avoid repeated puncture and long blood sampling time, which may cause blood clotting. For small infants who need jugular vein blood collection, nurses who are skilled in venipuncture should be used for the operation. Because the blood collection position is not easy to fix, it is recommended to use a syringe to inject the blood into the blood collection tube along the wall of the tube after blood collection.

2. The needle holder must be strictly fixed during the whole blood collection process, the two-way needle should be connected to the vacuum blood collection tube, and the blood return should be observed to ensure the smooth collection of multi-tube specimens. For vacuum blood collection tubes added with anticoagulant, the technique should be correct when shaking. After blood collection, gently invert the test tube and mix 5 to 8 times so that the additives preset in the test tube and the blood sample are fully mixed, but do not shake vigorously. So as not to cause hemolysis of the specimen.

3. When collecting blood, pay attention to the order of specimen collection, first take samples without additives, and then take samples with anticoagulant, so as not to affect the results of specimen inspection.
